We are shaping the future of radiology now, in this facility that houses one of the world’s first hybrid PET/MRI devices. Combining PET (positron emission tomography) and MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) pictures gives us more information with better detail.

We’re using this new way of getting images to change the way clinicians and researchers explore cancer, heart conditions, psychological disorders and neurological diseases such as multiple sclerosis.

Free valet parking available. For appointments, call (631) 638-2121.

MRI Suite

101 Nicolls Road, 4th Floor, Stony Brook University Hospital

When a patient’s condition is changing, we need answers, fast. Having MRI technology so close to hospitalized patients means their care is based on up-to-the-minute clinical information. The open design of these MRI machines gives maximum comfort for larger people or those who may feel claustrophobic in closed devices.

Parking in hospital parking garage (we will validate your parking garage voucher) or valet parking (self-pay).

For your convenience, MRI services are also available at our Commack and Stony Brook community facilities.

For appointments, call (631) 638-2121.
